taking care of your pool

Q: Why is my water green?

A: There could be a few reasons.
    1) TO MANY CHEMICALS! Its true! To many chemcials in your pool will cause a chemical reaction which causes your water to turn green. If you believe this may be the problem simply let your pool take a rest from chemcials  for a few days!
    2)  NOT ENOUGH CHEMICALS. Have you been disowning your pool lately?  We suggest a couple gallons of liquid shock and Proteam Supreme. The liquid shock will kill what algae is already in there, while the Proteam Supreme will help clear it and prevent it from happing again.
    3) LEAVES. Such a small thing such as leaves truely can create algae problems. Add a couple gallons of liquid shock and use a net skimmer to keep those leaves out! Keeping a solar cover on while you are not swimming will help keep those leaves out, as well as heating your pool water!

Q: Why is my pool cloudy?

A: You need to treat it with Clarafier. Cloudyness is caused from a million little  small partices which is unable to get caught in your filtering system. It may take a couple doses, so be patient. You will want to pour in the amount that is directed on the bottle, let your filtering system run for 3-4 hours. Turn your filtering system off and let  the water settle overnight and sweep the next day before you turn your filtering sytem back on.

Q: How much liquid shock should I use?

A: Liquid Shock Should be added to your pool at least once a week for smaller above ground pools. If it is a larger pool or an inground, at least 2 gallons should be added weekly.

Q: Is bleach the same thing as the liquid shock you sell?

A: NO! Absoutly not! Liquid shock is actually stronger than bleach. Adding bleach to your pool will not have any affect to help clear your pool.
